I have gone on a decorating FRENZY!! It is so fun and makes everything more livable and LOVABLE! Daniel and I started with our TV stand and painted it white (which we are still working on the right color for that, we are probably going to paint it more of a cream color and then distress it). Then we painted the green night stand piece. I LOVED how that turned out! I also painted our ugly, brown wicker basket blue, to match the new rug we got and did a new flower arrangement on the kitchen table.
My favorite piece so far is the antique CD player that used to also be brown and I painted it a light yellow. There are still other things that I want to do.. Eventually I want nice curtains and maybe some funner pillows. I sewed some buttons on old pillows to spice things up a bit but.. too many buttons looks a little silly. I am also going to paint some furniture in our bedroom and the pantry in our kitchen. It is all so fun and exciting to us and I feel like I have a NEW hobby!!! Eventually everything will be better looking but for now... and our certain "newly-wed slash college student status," this will have to do!! We work with what we have, and it is fun to be creative. It will definitely be a story to tell!
